GHC-2
Crane Overload Protection SIL 3 (IEC 61508) / PL e (EN 13849-1)

GHC-2 is the most economic safety system according to the highest safety level PL e used as over-load protection on cranes and other lifting equipment. It is also suitable for a number of other applications in rugged conditions including constructions and habour equipment.

It is based on a fully double-channel (redundant) Category 3 design with a high diagnostic coverage of 99%. The two controls are working as master and slave and high a high mean time between failures (MTTFd) of 125 years!

GHC-2 requires also redundant sensors and fulfils its safety function by activating or shutting down crane functions via digital outputs and relays. It can be linked directly to crane controls and other systems by CANBUS or by optional analogue outputs with 4…20mA output current.

In case of any discrepancy, which may occur in normal working session, it will de-activate its Diagnostic Relay. This will make sure that the crane is shut down completely and set to a safe position.

GHC-2 comes as a plug and play solution that can be calibrated without any special tools simply on the screen in a very short time.

Features:
A simple and accurate system to control wire rope tension to protect machinery at a reasonably low price. The system consists of only two components i.e. the wire rope tension sensor, R2 series and the electronic basic switching amplifier, BSA. BSA has three individual adjustable setting switching points that can react through 250VAC power relays for the following conditions;
> Slackrope condition (underload)
> 90% maximum load (pre-warning)
> maximum load (overload cutout)

Wire rope tension sensor is made of stainless steel and is attached to wire rope easily via clasping with two securing bolts.
